About

A major goal of ICSMMblog is to be a one-stop shop for all of your Ithaca College Sport Management and Media-related needs. Another purpose of this blog is to build a community among our ever-expanding alumni, our current students and lastly — but not least — future Bombers.

Alumni/nae News. We’re proud of our graduates — and we’re not too shy to boast about them. Our department has produced a ton of alumni working various jobs in the sport industry. (If you want proof, stop by my office and I’ll show you 25 Excel pages of names). So if you’re an IC graduate alumnus working a cool gig in sports, don’t hesitate to reach out to us — we’d love to profile you, your position and/or your organization.

Student Work. We all know that Sport Management and Media students get to do fun internships, fieldworks and even sport industry-based classroom assignments so let’s highlight your experiences. If you want to brag about your internship, share a stellar paper you wrote or embed a video of your ICTV projects, please send it our way — this is your forum to showcase creative work.

Internship Opportunities. For current students, you can no longer use the excuse, “I never got an email about that internship.” Sure, we’ll continue to pass along the word via electronic mail, but you can also check ICSMMblog for all opportunities in the industry that we come across. For seniors, you can also think of us as a Monster.com, CareerBuilder or WorkInSports — but we only cater to you, the always-motivated IC student. Speaking of which, alumni: If you’re looking for a reliable and diligent individual to help with your organization, let us know.

Upcoming Events/General News. Need to know what time the Career in Sports Symposium starts? Check out ICSMMblog. Forget what day you can register for Spring classes? We’ve got you covered.
