Our annual Careers in Sport Symposium is slowly — yet surely — approaching (Saturday, October 12th). Leading up to the big show, we will highlight a few of our alumni/panelists so you can learn more about their respective, wide-ranging experiences. Today, get to know Chelsea Dutton.

Where you’re from:
Granby, CT

Major/minor(s) at IC:
Sport Media

Best IC memories:

Some of my best memories took place late at night in CNS with my teammates for the College Sport Research Institute Case Study Competition (shout out to Team Fab). We were highly caffeinated and exceedingly exhausted, but still managed to enjoy every minute.

Current professional position/title:

Account Executive, Connecticut Sun (WNBA)

Most valuable skill/trait:

My ability to multi-task has definitely helped me the most. Taking classes while also working on a number of different research projects during my senior year taught me how to prioritize and budget my time, which has directly translated to my job.

Best piece of personal advice to fellow IC students:
Take advantage of every resource IC provides you — especially your faculty.
