As part of a fall semester internship, Tim Westervelt is contributing posts to the official blog of IMG Academies and IMG Sports Camps. Where to watch IMG Academies’ athletes this weekend
IMG Academies will be represented this weekend in both the NAVISTAR LPGA Classic and the PGA Tour BMW Championship. Sean O’Hair began 2nd round play tied for 19th at -1. The leaders are currently -9 but anything can happen in the long tournament

Even if Randall Cobb never touched a ball in last night’s game against the Saints, his name would still have gone down in history as the first player born in the 1990’s to play an NFL Game.

IMG Academies selected as site for U.S. Soccer’s Winter National Coaching School
IMG Academies will be one of the facilities to host U.S. Soccer’s National Coaching Schools for “A”, “B”, “C” and Goalkeeping License Courses in January.

IMG trainee Cam Newton sets record in NFL debut

Cam Newton came into this NFL season as one of the biggest topics of question. Many were anxious to see if his college success could translate into the pros. While it was only the first game, Newton’s performance in week 1 has many people believing he has the skills to be a great NFL quarterback. One such person is Chris Weinke, who worked with Cam during the off season at IMG Academies.
